When we look around for information for PvE in DUST, many of us have a preconception of what it should be. Some of us think it should be a Horde style defense like Halo, Mass Effect, or Killing Floor have, while some of us think should be us foghting through an AI held area like Warframe or most games with a co-op campaign. What most all of us agree on however is that we'd like to have some casual PvE content to practice our skills, try out new weapons, and work out squad synergy. In come the DEVs saying they want PvE to be tied into the ever-magical Planetary Conquest, and that owning a planet will let you have a random chance of having sudden PvE on that planet/district.
Now, I just want there to BE PvE, PERIOD, but I think that integrating PvE into PC isn't quite what most of us were looking for, but that's just me. I can't speak for most of us, hence this thread. What do YOU guys think of when you think of PvE? Do you want PvE ASAP, or could you care less in favor of some other mode (fixing broken crap is NOT something you can say should be done first, we all kinda know that already)? Do you want PvE to be something you choose from the matchmaker menu like Skirmish or Ambush, or something that only appears on Mercenary when the stars align and you joined the right corporation? Let your voices be heard!
To answer my own questions, my opinion is PvE where we defend or attack both would be nice, ASAP please, matchmaker would be preferable, in that order. |

That way it's another game mode, and not a potential to lose the entire competitive component to carebearing.
I could see this as another variant of play, but I do not see the negatives in having pure cooperative PvE play. PvEvP shall be noted, however, thank you for the contribution. |
